DT Swiss 180 Straight Pull: When calculating for straight-pull hubs like the New DT Swiss 180, ensure you are measuring from the actual seating point of the spoke head. This ensures the most accurate results from our geometry engine.

ERD Verification: Effective Rim Diameter is the most critical variable. A 1mm error in ERD results in a 0.5mm error in spoke length. We recommend measuring every rim manually at four points before cutting spokes.

Asymmetric Rim Offset: For rims with an Offset Spoke Bed (OSB), the calculator correctly adjusts bracing angles. Ensure you enter the manufacturer's specified lateral offset in the 'Asymmetry' field to balance tension ratios.

Spoke Tension Balance: Tension ratios are a geometric result of hub flange spacing. High-quality builds aim for the highest possible tension on the 'slacker' side without exceeding the rim's maximum kgF limit.
