Designed specifically to survive the brutal demands of downhill racing and enduro tracks, the Berd HAWK30X carbon wheelset is in a completely different class of durability. This is not just a marginally improved trail wheel—it is the strongest, most extreme wheelset Berd has ever designed.
The secret to its incredible strength lies in the brand-new PolyLightX spokes. Exclusive to the HAWK30X, these heavy-duty UHMWPE spokes boast a 50% larger diameter, making them 44% stiffer and packing more than double the abrasion resistance of standard Berd spokes, all while weighing an incredibly light 3.5 grams each.
These massive spokes are laced to downhill-specific carbon rims crafted in partnership with We Are One Composites in Canada. Featuring a bolstered carbon layup for unbelievable impact strength and a shallow 18mm profile for engineered radial compliance, the HAWK30X absorbs trail chatter and massive impacts alike. Available in full 29", 27.5", and MX (Mullet) configurations, these wheels are built around Berd's flagship 54t Talon hubs or the silent Onyx Classic Hook Flange hubs for the ultimate gravity setup.

They share the same brilliant 18mm-deep external geometry as the HAWK30 for supreme radial compliance, but feature a heavily bolstered carbon layup to provide unbelievable, industry-leading impact strength for downhill racing.
Anti-Pinch Flat Rim Lip: With an extremely wide 3.75mm rim lip, the HAWK30X rim spreads out tire and rim impacts across a much larger surface area. This smart design prevents pinch flats and structural rim damage during acute, square-edge rock impacts.
