Berd HAWK30X Carbon Downhill and Enduro Wheels

The HAWK30X are the strongest, most durable, most extreme wheels Berd has ever designed. Made specifically for downhill and enduro riding and racing, these are not just a marginally improved version of the HAWK30. These are in an entirely different class.

The spokes for HAWK30X wheels are our brand new PolyLightX spokes, which are exclusively available with the HAWK30X wheels. With a diameter that is 50% larger, PolyLightX spokes are 44% stiffer and have more than double the abrasion resistance compared to our already-strong PolyLight spokes. Still, they weigh only 3.5 grams each (1 gram more than our standard spokes).

The HAWK30X rims are a result of our extremely strong partnership with We Are One Composites in Canada. The rims have the same external geometry as our HAWK30 rims, but with a bolstered layup to provide an unbelievably high impact strength.

The 30 mm internal rim width pairs well with 2.4" to 2.6" tires, while the 18 mm depth yields engineered radial compliance and high lateral stiffness. The combination of vibration damping from Berd spokes and the radial compliance of the rim means more speed over rough terrain, increased control and trail feel, and less rider fatigue

The HAWK30X wheelset is built around our flagship Berd Talon Hub featuring hooked hub flanges designed to work specifically with Berd spokes along with a dual-sprung 54t ratchet freehub.

These Berd wheels are also available to be ordered using the Onyx Classic Hook Flange Hub system in 12x148 boost rear spacing. Please allow up to 4-6 weeks for delivery of wheels with Onyx hubs.
