DT Swiss Standard Ratchet Upgrade

This upgrade kit is designed for DT Swiss hubs utilizing the classic, dual-spring Star Ratchet system. Upgrading to a 36-tooth or 54-tooth ratchet decreases your hub's engagement angle to 10° or 6.6° respectively, allowing for faster power transfer out of slow corners and on steep, technical climbs.

Hub Compatibility:

• DT Swiss 350 (All generations)

• DT Swiss 370 (Only if previously converted from the 3-pawl system to a Star Ratchet system)

• DT Swiss 240s / 240 (Older, non-EXP models)

• DT Swiss 180 (Older, non-EXP models)

How to Identify Your System:
To verify your hub type, pull your freehub body straight off the axle. If your hub uses the Classic Star Ratchet system, you will find:

1. Two identical, loose star ratchets sitting face-to-face inside the assembly.

2. Two separate conical springs (one sitting in the hub shell, and one inside the freehub body).

What is Included in this Kit:

• (2) Classic Star Ratchets (36-Tooth or 54-Tooth)

• (2) Conical Springs

• (1) Container of DT Swiss Special Grease

Installation Tool Requirements:
Upgrading a classic Star Ratchet hub requires no special tools. Once the freehub body is pulled off, the existing ratchets and springs can be swapped out by hand. Apply a thin, even coat of the included grease to the teeth; excess grease can prevent proper engagement and cause the ratchets to slip.
