This ultra-wide profile is optimized for modern gravel race tires (40mm to 57mm), creating a smooth aerodynamic transition and a wider contact patch for incredible cornering grip. To keep the weight down while increasing strength, Reserve introduced a "Hollow Hook" bead design. This innovative construction removes excess material from inside the rim, delivering the pinch-flat protection of a heavy-duty trail rim at a racing weight (1,433g for the DT 180 build).
